Purpose of Play Activity
The Perform activity my spouse and i implemented was face mask painting. The aim of this kind of activity was going to take a healthy approach which support and promote every single area of the children's area of expansion. A holistic procedure is way which considres the child in general person and understand what they may have achieved and what they have never achieved by looking at how the developmental areas hyperlink up, and how progress in a single area can impact progress within area for example a child is able to use a blade and hand (physical) that leads to better independence and increased self esteem (emotional). This method is important as it influences the planning of long term activities involving the child which will help their development as a whole person and not just their particular development in a single area. That children learn and develop holistically is acknowledged by many educationalists for example Froebel, Steiner, and Montessori. Steiner especially exemplified the вЂwhole child' approach. He developed stages for human development which in turn had intellectual implications to get teaching and learning. A thematic method to understanding and supporting children's learning and development since presented inside the Framework to get Early Learning developed by the NCCA, bridges the difference between the developmental domains and a more all natural and built-in approach. The Framework for Early Learning's thematic way of presenting kid's learning and development conveys successfully the integrated and holistic development of the youthful learner, and his/her learning needs. I had a few ideas of what activities I wanted to perform for the activity. In considering if face mask painting was suitable, i discussed this with my own supervisor Mia. We considered as the following: 2. age appropriateness of each child
2. How early childhood appropriate of the activity.
* Suitabilty with the activity to get the group size.
* Materials needed
* Time needed to carry out the work
* Link with aistear themes.
My own supervisor was happy to proceed with the activity as it associated with the styles of Aistear. The group size was 10 kids all old between the age groups of two to three and a half years of age. She explained also that all materials that have been going to be applied were suitable for the kids age group. The following day time I attended the art supply retail store and bought the face goggles and glitter glue needed for the job. Mia got all other components in inventory so I don't need to buy all of them. Mia my personal supervisor told me the best time to accomplish the activity can be after snack food time. We decided the activity is a two day task and allocated half an hour for 1 and 12-15 mins intended for the second day to implement it.
